One of our favorite countries to visit is Jordan.
We love the places – like Petra, downtown Amman, the Citadel, the old church in Madaba, Um Quis, Gadera, Mount Nebo, and the Dead Sea.
We love the food – the mansaf, the maqluba, the falafel, and the best hummus I have ever had anywhere!
But what we love the most about any country – including Jordan – are the people.
Here are just a few wonderful people we have met in that important Middle Eastern country.
King Abdullah II (OK, I didn’t really meet him – this was the closest I could get!)
The Young Children (Syrian Refugees)
The Young Children (Palestinian Refugees)
I love Jordan – what wonderful people!
My wife was there 20 years ago. Still very fond memories.
Yes, I too have such good memories!
Bruce, we need to pray for Jordan. It is an incredibly pivotal country in the Middle East.
We will be there very soon on October 2014. I love to see Jordan.
I think your post is beautiful. The Middle East is a wonderful place. I lived in Jordan fifty years ago and my how it has changed, all for the better I hope. I cannot wait to go back soon.
Shukran! Thank you so much! Yes, Jordan is an amazing place, as is the whole Middle East. The people, the food, the land. As one of my good friends and Jordan likes to say, “No wonder God sent his prophets to that part of the world!”
