Dear Muslim friends around the world,
I know that tonight is regarded by many as “Laylat al-Qadr” (the Night of Power) – the spiritual peak of Ramadan. It marks the night when Allah is believed to have sent the Qur’an down from the seventh heaven.
I also know it is a night when you believe that:
• prayers are more powerful;
• sins are forgiven (Bukhari 1.2.34);
• the blessings and mercy of God are more abundant.
Some believe that worship on Laylat al-Qadr is more valuable than a thousand months of regular worship (83 years!) based on Surah 97 in the Qur’an.
My Muslim friends, one thing you may not have heard is that Jesus often reveals Himself in dreams and visions to Muslim people on the Night of Power. Many have said they saw a “man in white” and they somehow knew it was Jesus because they had never experienced such love.
Oh, how I pray this for each of you – whether on this night, or another!
Jesus loves you, dear Muslim people around the world – and so do I!
John 3:16
