Dear Muslims friends, I know you are thirsty today.

It is Ramadan and you do not drink during the day.

But all people – not just Muslim people – are thirsty on the inside – in our souls.

The question is,

“Where are we drinking?”

Where are we going to satisfy the inner longings of our souls?

We try so many substitutes, but God made us to hunger and thirst for Him.

We will never find our inner soul’s thirst totally satisfied by:

– academic success
– a successful career
– a beautiful car
– a dream home
– sports or hobbies
– alcohol or drugs
– sexual intimacy
– recognition/fame
– another person (friend, husband, wife, kids, grandkids, etc.)

God wants us to go to HIM – the only place our inner thirst can be totally satisfied:

“As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God.”
(Psalm 42:1)

“O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you.
My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you. . .”
(Psalm 63:1)

Jesus invites us to come to HIM for the satisfaction of the thirst of our souls:

“On the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood up and called out in a loud voice,
‘If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.'”
(John 7:37)

Dear Muslim friends, are you thirsty today – thirsty on the inside?

Go to God and cry out to Him!  He promises to quench your great thirst.

Go to Jesus and cry out to Him!  He promises to satisfy your great thirst.
