My Muslim friends often say to me,
“I was born a Muslim, and I’ll die a Muslim.”
Then they ask,
“Were you born a Christian?”
My answer is this:
- I was not born a Christian, a Muslim, or a Jew.
- I was not born a Buddhist, a Hindu, or a follower of Confucius.
- I was born a sinner. . .into a world of sinners (Romans 3:23).
But when I was a 10-year-old boy, on May 28, 1966 – 56 years ago – I was “born again” (John 3:3, 5)!
At that time, I heard the gospel – the “good news” – for the very first time.
A very kind and caring man (he cared about my eternal soul) read just one verse to me, John 3:16. It says:
For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only son
(a spiritual, not a physical son),
that whoever believes in him should not go to the hell-fire,
but have eternal life.
That night, I made intentional decisions/choices:
- I put my faith in Jesus and what he did for me by dying for my sins.
- I asked for forgiveness and I received it.
- I invited Jesus into my heart and he came in.
So you see, I was not “born a Christian.” I was “born again.” I received new life. I became a new person – on the inside.
And this is my prayer for any of you who are reading these words or watching this video.
Please read the words of Jesus (you call him Isa al Masih) in the Injil and see how different he is. See how much he loved people. See how much he loves you. He loves you so much that he was willing to die in your place so that you might receive the gift of eternal life (Romans 6:23).
Jesus said (John 3:3, 7 NLT),
“I tell you the truth, unless you are born again,
you cannot see the Kingdom of God. . .
You must be born again.”

It’s a choice.
It’s your choice.
I pray you make it. . .today!
Your eternity depends upon it!
