Dear Muslim friends around the world,

Have you ever had a dream or a vision of a “man in white,” especially during Ramadan or the “Night of Power”?

The Injil describes such a vision:

“Six days later Jesus took Peter and the two brothers, James and John, and led them up a high mountain to be alone. As the men watched, Jesus’ appearance was transformed so that his face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as light.” (Matthew 17:1-2)

Dear Muslim reader, maybe you have had a dream or vision of Isa – of Jesus. Many Muslims around the world have seen Him this way and they say that they have never known such love. If you see Him, I pray that you will respond to His amazing love – for you!

In 2014, I was in the Middle East helping an Arab Christian man – Boulos – with refugees from Syria and Iraq. I met a man from Syria – Abdul – who had been tortured in prison for 1 1/2 years by the regime of Bashar al-Assad, the former President (dictator) of Syria.

I went with Boulos and shared with Abdul what the Injil – the New Testament of the Bible – says about how we can go to Jannah (Arabic: جنّة) – to Paradise.  But Abdul was in a very depressed state emotionally and not yet ready to hear this message.

I saw Abdul again almost exactly one year later in 2015 and I immediately noticed that something about him looked different! I was again with Boulos and he told me that Abdul had been “born again.” Jesus used these words in John 3:3 and in John 3:7 in the Injil:

“I tell you the truth, unless you are born again,
you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”

What does “born again” mean?

It means that you have repented of your sins and chosen to follow Jesus as your Savior by believing in Him and His incredibly loving sacrifice of his very life – for you.

It means that you are then washed clean of all your sin and shame and that you are transformed into a new person (but not a perfect one!) through a spiritual rebirth.  It means that you have been changed from the inside out. You are – as Jesus said – born again!

I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God, John 3:3

I had to find out what happened to Abdul when he was “born again.” What created this change in him – a change so great that is was visible in his face?

Abdul himself told the story,

“One day, I was sitting in my apartment.
Smoking. Depressed.
A bright light came into my room.
I thought I was in another world.
I could see a man but I could not see his face.
He said to me,

‘Abdul, I am the Savior of the world.
I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
And I want to introduce Myself to you.’”

Dear Muslim friends, Abdul saw Jesus (you call him Isa al Masih). How do I know? Because Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life,” 2000 years ago when He walked this earth. One of his followers – John – heard him and wrote about it in the Injil in John 14:6.

After this vision of Jesus, Abdul went to see my friend, Boulos, to tell him of this incredible event. Boulos shared John 14:6 with Abdul and he was “born again.”

Dear Muslim friends, if you have a dream or vision of Jesus, seek out a follower of Jesus to talk to. Look for an Injil to read and learn more about this Jesus and his love. And then pray that you might know if this is the truth.

You can even ask Jesus to show you who He is, and if you are sincere and serious about this, He will show you!

As always, I love you, my Muslim friends. . .
